Patent/Trademark applications filed in WTO member countries can claim priority in Taiwan
2002/01/01 TaiwanAs Taiwan has become a member of WTO since Jan. 1st, 2002, in according with Article 2 of WTO/TRIPs, member countries shall obey the rules for Paris Convention and TRIPs for accepting priority claimed from other member countries. For patent and trademark application filed in WTO member countries, the applicant is eligible to claim priority in Taiwan providing that the priority date shall not be dated earlier than Jan. 1st, 2002.
